Krefeld (dpa / lnw) - A couple of dentists from Nettetal defends themselves in Krefeld against their conviction for drug trafficking.
Today the Krefeld district court wants to announce the judgment in the appeal proceedings.
In the first instance, the 53-year-old dentist and his wife, who were two years younger than him, were sentenced to prison terms without parole by the local court.
A cannabis plantation with 1,300 plants was discovered in an apartment they rented out above their dental practice in Nettetal.
The already convicted tenant of the apartment had testified that he had operated the drug plantation on behalf of the couple.
The defense lawyers consider this a revenge by the tenant on his landlord.
The dentist gave the police the anonymous tip that blew up the plantation.
