Clément Beaune Secretary of State for European Affairs has asked the Pfizer laboratory to honor its commitments on the delivery of vaccine vials.

According to the Secretary of State "the subject of the number of doses per bottle does not change anything for the industrialist".

French Secretary of State for European Affairs Clément Beaune on Friday asked the American laboratory Pfizer "to honor its commitments" to deliveries regardless of the number of doses available per bottle.

The American laboratory has indeed indicated that it wants to reduce the number of vials delivered on the grounds that French caregivers used them for six doses and not five.

Pfizer justifies this decision by the fact that the order was placed in number of doses and not in number of vials.

Pfizer "must honor its commitments"

"The deliveries are made in bottles. The subject of the number of doses per bottle does not change anything for the industrialist. He must honor his commitments," Clément Beuane said on the continuous news channel BFM TV.

"When there were delays in the number of bottles this week, pressure was put on to make up for it, it is not for the manufacturer to take care of it," he added.

"The prices we have paid, the deliveries we have approved, they must be respected", on the basis of five doses per bottle.

If on the side of the government the question seems decided, the industrialist announced on Thursday that he wanted to adapt its deliveries to take into account the higher number of doses available per vial, indicating that the surplus could benefit developing countries.
