Halle (dpa / sa) - The Halle Chamber of Crafts has sent a call for help for hairdressers and cosmetics companies.

“Most of the business owners are at their end,” said Chamber President Thomas Keindorf on Friday.

The second complete lockdown of these trades has used up reserves.

The help offered would hardly be effective because the entrepreneur's wages and the resulting personal expenses such as health insurance and pension provision are not sufficiently taken into account.

"There is a risk of business death in these trades," warned Keindorf.

He asked for a signal from the state government on the prospects.

According to the chamber, there are more than 1,500 hairdressing and cosmetics businesses in the south of Saxony-Anhalt.

There are a similar number in the north of the country.
