Berlin (dpa) - Government representatives from 80 countries are today discussing world food in the context of climate change and the pandemic.

One of the discussions is how the agricultural sector can help prevent further pandemics.

A major contribution to climate protection is also on the conference agenda.

The representatives for the Agriculture Ministers' Conference usually meet during Green Week in Berlin.

Like the trade fair, this time the conference will also be held online.

Only together can hunger be fought, said Federal Agriculture Minister Julia Klöckner (CDU) in advance.

Climate change and the corona virus aggravated the problems.

"Our farmers feed the world, and we will only find solutions with our farmers."

Even during the Corona crisis, the global food supply must be increased.
