The AfD is suing the Cologne Administrative Court against the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV) located there.
The party had filed two lawsuits and two urgent motions, a court spokeswoman told the German press agency on Friday.
In it, the AfD applies on the one hand to forbid the protection of the Constitution to classify it as a suspected case and to make this public.

The court spokeswoman announced an interim decision by the court for Monday, a so-called hanging decision.
This is a provisional decision that can be made before the urgent application is made, i.e. especially at short notice.

According to media reports, the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution wants to make a decision on how to deal with the AfD in the coming week.
Accordingly, the AfD should be declared a suspected right-wing extremist case.
