On the night of Thursday to Friday, the police put an end to a big fiesta which had been organized in an apartment in Lille despite the coronavirus epidemic and the curfew.

In the course of last night, the police services received several calls from residents of the rue Nationale, in Lille.

They complained about the noise coming from a building on the same street.

Several patrols were dispatched to the scene at around 12:20 a.m.

Upon entering the building, the police found that several dozen people were present in the common areas, generating a certain uproar.

It was then that an 18-year-old girl introduced herself to them.

A medical student and tenant of an apartment in the building, she admitted to having been overwhelmed by the number of participants in the party she had organized.

According to the police, around 60 people were fined either for not respecting the curfew or for not wearing a mask, or both.

The organizer of the bamboche, she was placed in police custody for "endangering the life of others".
