The US police arrested a 70-year-old woman after her husband discovered her while she was throwing a poisonous substance for him in his coffee, while the wife said she wanted to teach him a lesson.

According to the "Audity Central" website, the story began last September when Robert Barron, 63, noticed the presence of a strange taste in his meals.

The husband, who lives in Queens, New York, said that he began to feel sick after eating, and sometimes he became exhausted, which forced him to sleep for a period of up to 15 hours, after eating one of the dishes that his wife prepared for him.

Feeling something fishy, he decided last week to install a small surveillance camera in the kitchen without telling his wife, Suncha Tinvera, to be surprised that she was adding a chemical used to kill cockroaches in his coffee.

The husband was quick to inform the police that confiscated the coffee and the jug that was being made with it, and after a chemical analysis it was found that a substance of uric acid was used as a disinfectant or as an insecticide for cockroaches.

Tnfira to the police, she admitted her guilt and conspiracy against her husband, saying, "I did it two or three times, and I don't remember when, only when he got angry," adding, "I just wanted to teach him a lesson."

Later, the elderly woman was released without bail, but with a protection order that prevented her from approaching or interfering with her husband.

And boric acid is a white powder that is widely used in various fields.

It is sometimes used as an antiseptic to treat burns or light wounds, but it is also used as an insecticide against cockroaches, ants, and other insects.

According to some expert testimony, a tablespoon of boric acid is enough to kill a man weighing 68 kilograms.
