Guterres noted that WHO's support is absolutely essential for global efforts to coordinate the fight against the COVID-19 coronavirus infection.
He also said he warmly welcomes Biden's steps to return to the Paris climate agreement and "join the growing coalition of governments, cities, states, businesses and people fighting the climate crisis."
Biden previously signed executive orders for the return of the United States to WHO and a climate agreement.
