On the night of Sunday to last Monday, in the town of Saint-Pierre-des-Nids in the Sarthe, a woman, aged 64, is suspected of having killed her former companion, aged 46, of a rifle shot, reports the France Bleu Mayenne site.
It was she who notified the firefighters.
The gendarmes also went there.

A violent argument, against a background of alcohol, would have broken out in this couple, in the process of separation.
The woman then allegedly grabbed a gun and fired only once.
According to the autopsy, the blow was fatal.
The investigation was entrusted to an examining magistrate from Le Mans.
A judicial investigation was opened for murder.
The woman was charged and remanded in custody.
She risks life imprisonment.
