RIA Novosti reported about it with reference to the press service of the Serbian Cabinet.

“Thanks to President Vucic, the Russian side immediately responded to our request that the Russian Sputnik V vaccine be produced in Serbia,” he said.

According to him, he has already signed a protocol with the management of Generium, which defines further steps towards joint production.

Popovich noted that Russian specialists are expected to come to Serbia in the near future to familiarize themselves with the personnel and production capabilities.

Earlier, the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) signed an agreement with the Serbian government to supply the country with 2 million doses of Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine, which will make it possible to vaccinate 1 million people.
