“In a pandemic, it is still difficult to talk about the prospects for resuming face-to-face events, including at the highest level,” Antonov said.

The ambassador noted that the Russian side proceeds from the fact that the formation of a schedule of political contacts will depend on the normalization of the epidemiological situation, as well as the content of such meetings and opportunities for communication on the fields of multilateral events.

Antonov added that any plans are subject to discussion and agreement with the new American administration.

Earlier, White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki said there were no plans to talk between Biden and Putin.
