At a press conference on Thursday morning, the government and the Swedish Public Health Agency gave new information about corona measures.

One of them means that the alcohol ban will be extended after 8 pm in the evenings for another two weeks until 7 February.

The Gothenburg restaurateurs who, after the government's announcement, gathered at David Demirör's restaurant clearly showed their dissatisfaction with the news.

- Give us a clear message and we will shut down for three months, because this does not work.

We are bleeding and can no longer cope, says David Demirörs.

False hopes

David Demirörs feels that the government gives him and the other restaurateurs false hopes that at the next press conference then we may ease the restrictions, but when they are extended instead, they will be there with fixed costs and few guests.

How much longer can you stay open?

- A few more months, we have lost 95 percent of sales and all overdraft facilities are utilized and fixed costs we can not afford.
