Operation Volcano of Fury of the Government of National Accord published pictures showing an intense flight of Russian MiG-29 fighters (Mig-29) over Al-Jufrah (central Libya).

It said on its Facebook page yesterday, Wednesday, that these fighters were in charge of protecting Russian air cargo planes, transporting mercenaries from the Sudanese Janjaweed between the city of Sirte (450 kilometers east of Tripoli) and Al-Jufra (south of Sirte), which includes a large air base.

She added that the three Russian cargo planes landed at Al-Jafra base, which is confirmed by frequent reports that it includes numbers of Russian "Wagner" mercenaries who support the forces of retired Major General Khalifa Haftar.

She emphasized that this contradicts the Libyan Military Committee's agreement (5 + 5) for the ceasefire signed in Geneva on October 23, which stipulated the withdrawal of all foreign mercenaries from Libya within 3 months of that date.

Operation Volcano of Fury indicated that this development indicates the continued transfer of weapons, equipment and ammunition to the mercenaries supporting Haftar.

Implementation of the agreement

Earlier, Operation Barkan Fury, via its Facebook and Twitter account, quoted the commander of the Sirte and Jufra Liberation Operations, Brigadier General Ibrahim Bait al-Mal, as saying that the ongoing military movements in the Al-Jufra region indicate that Haftar's forces have no clear intention to implement the military committee agreement.

The House of Money confirmed the readiness of the Al-Wefaq Forces to fully commit to implementing all the provisions of the ceasefire agreement in the event of goodwill from the other party, and confirmed its readiness to open the coastal road between the cities of Sirte and Misurata as a step to support and implement the agreement.

Regarding the Libyan issue as well, a source from the island's Joint Military Committee said that the representatives of Britain and France in the countries of the Berlin Conference pledged to seek the issuance of a UN Security Council resolution

To force all countries to implement the decisions of the Military Committee on the removal of foreign mercenaries, the evacuation of the city of Sirte and the Jufrah region (central Libya) of the military forces, in addition to restructuring the Petroleum Facilities Guard, and opening all roads.

The source added that this came during the meeting of the committee members with the follow-up committee countries emanating from the parties to the Berlin Conference and the United Nations Support Mission in Libya through video technology.

And last month, the UN Security Council demanded the withdrawal of foreign mercenaries from Libya, whose number the United Nations estimated at 20,000.

Among them are thousands of Russians, Sudanese and Chadians fighting with Haftar's forces, which control Sirte and the Jufrah region, in addition to the whole east and parts of the south.
