Sankt Augustin (dpa / lnw) - After a collision with a tram, a dog was seriously injured and brought to a veterinary clinic in Cologne.
The 15-year-old daughter of the owner suffered a shock after the accident and collapsed, the police said.
She was treated on site by the emergency services.
It was initially unclear exactly how the accident at the level crossing in Sankt Augustin (Rhein-Sieg district) could occur.
Although the train driver initiated emergency braking, a collision with the animal could no longer be prevented.
