RIA Novosti informs about this with reference to the country's Foreign Ministry.

The Foreign Ministry of Albania said that they contacted the Russian Ambassador to Tirana, Mikhail Afanasyev, expressing concern about the continuing violations of measures to combat coronavirus by the diplomat of the Russian embassy.

“Unfortunately, contrary to promises, the diplomat continued to violate the measures taken ... With regret, the government of Albania decided to declare diplomat Aleksey Krivosheev persona non grata with the obligation to leave the country within 72 hours from the moment of official notification,” the statement said.

In December 2020, it was reported that the Russian embassy had received a note from the Dutch Foreign Ministry declaring two Russian diplomats persona non grata in the country.

The Russian Foreign Ministry called this decision an unfriendly and provocative step.
