The Ain prefecture calls for caution in the mountains

Unscathed but shocked, his companion was taken care of by the gendarmerie.

In a press release, the Ain prefecture called for caution in the mountains, stressing that “the current weather conditions, combining milder temperatures and strong gusts of wind, make the outings more dangerous”.

“The snow, which has fallen in abundance in recent days, and which is melting more quickly, causes more instability.

This situation, which the department is experiencing, is also observed in neighboring departments, ”added the prefecture.

Several other accidents linked to snowflows were recorded Wednesday in the Alps
