Saarbrücken (dpa / lrs) - The number of registered new infections with the coronavirus in Saarland has risen by 222 within one day.
A total of 24,116 people in the state have been infected so far, the Ministry of Health announced on Thursday in Saarbrücken (as of 4 p.m.).
The reported number of people who died from or with the virus rose by 8 to 679.
According to the ministry, 1,841 people are currently infected.
297 would be treated as inpatients, 87 of them in intensive care units.
The number of new infections in the past 7 days per 100,000 inhabitants was 113.0 nationwide.
