Could the emerging corona virus vaccine, which causes Covid-19 disease, have side effects so dangerous as to cause death?

What is the truth about the deaths that occurred in Norway and Germany?

In this report, we gathered the latest data on what are said to be complications of the Corona vaccine, with reference to sources such as BMJ, Bloomberg, Le Monde and Reuters, to list the facts as well as the lies.

We start from the lies:

1- The death of the first French woman to receive the Covid-19 vaccine is a lie

In a report in the French newspaper Le Monde, writer William O'Doreau said that on December 27, the first elderly French woman named Morissette received a dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine in Sevran.

And on the weekend of January 16-17, several anti-vaccination accounts were published, a rumor that this 78-year-old woman has since passed away.

In light of this, Mayor Stefan Blanchett points out that this news is false and sad, knowing that this false information was initially spread through an account on Twitter (Twitter), which he admitted was deceptive, before it was deleted.

2- The death of nurse Tiffany Dover who received the Covid-19 vaccine ... a lie

Nurse Tiffany Dover passed out live on December 17th after receiving a dose of the vaccine.

Since then, the most vocal opponents of the vaccine have been spreading rumors of her death, or demanding proof to the contrary.

And early December 18, the nurse appeared on local TV.

Nevertheless, the rumors continued, as Chi Memorial Hospital in Tennessee repeatedly confirmed that she was fine, in a tweet posted on December 19, and then on a video clip posted on December 21, or in a statement to the Reuters news agency on 28 Last December.

On December 29, the Chattanooga district channel published a new report, in which the young woman appeared in good health, despite her fear of rumors about her death.

The hospital explains that it receives requests from all over the world, and says it no longer wants to be interviewed.

3- The vaccine is responsible for the death of a Portuguese nurse ... a lie

Two days after receiving a dose of the Pfizer-Biontec vaccine, Portuguese nurse Sonia Azevedo died.

But in fact the forensic autopsy showed "no relationship between death and the vaccine," according to Corio da Manha newspaper, citing the Portuguese Ministry of Justice.

In addition, the cause of her death has not been announced due to judicial reasons.

Now we turn to the facts that need to be clarified:

1 - 33 deaths among the elderly in Norway

33 deaths were reported in mid-January out of about 42,000 people who received the Pfizer-Biontek vaccine in Norway, as authorities prioritized the vaccination of nursing home residents, according to a report in Bloomberg.

All of those who died were in the category of 75 years and over (exact ages were not mentioned for privacy reasons).

The important fact here is that those who have died were severely ill and expected to live only weeks or months, according to Bloomberg.

All deaths that occur within a few days of vaccination are carefully evaluated, Bloomberg said.

And health authorities in Norway say there is no evidence of a direct link between the 33 cases and the vaccine they received.

According to the Norwegian Medicines Agency, an average of 400 people die every week in nursing homes and long-term care facilities.

For his part, the agency's chief physician, Sigurd Hortimo, said that he could not rule out that common adverse reactions to the vaccine, such as fever and nausea, might be life-threatening in patients with serious health problems.

However, the doctor did not say that there was a causal relationship.

2- Deaths after vaccination in Germany

In Germany, where more than 800,000 people received two doses of the vaccine, the Paul Ehrlich Institute achieved at least 7 deaths among the elderly soon after vaccination.

However, the institute said in its report that the deaths were most likely due to the patients' underlying diseases, including cancers, kidney problems and Alzheimer's, rather than due to vaccination.

We conclude here with two important questions:

1- What are the symptoms that appeared in these fatal cases?

Fatalities in Norway have been associated with fever, nausea and diarrhea, which are relatively common and short-term effects that some people can experience after almost any vaccine.

Abrar Chugtay, a lecturer in the School of Public Health and Community Medicine at the University of New South Wales, told the Australian Science Media Center that the reactions are not expected to be of significance in the vast majority of people.

Millions of doses of the Pfizer-Bionic vaccine have been administered in the United States, the United Kingdom, and some other countries, and no deaths have been reported from the vaccine.

2- What is known about the risks of the vaccine for the elderly and those with weak health?

We return to the answer to this question to a report in the BMJ medical journal, which held an interview with the medical director of the Norwegian agency Steinar Madsen about the deaths that occurred in Norway.

It is possible that common adverse reactions to vaccines that are not dangerous for younger people may exacerbate the underlying disease in the elderly, Madsen said.

Madsen said, commenting on the deaths, "It may be a coincidence, but we are not sure .. there is no certain relationship between these deaths and the vaccine."

The BMG report said that the agency has investigated 13 deaths so far, and concluded that common adverse reactions to mRNA vaccines - such as Pfizer-Biontech and moderna - are fever, nausea and diarrhea. It may have contributed to fatal outcomes in some vulnerable patients.

"There is a possibility that these common adverse reactions - which are not dangerous in younger patients and in good health and are not unfamiliar with vaccines - may exacerbate the underlying disease in the elderly," Madsen said.

"We are not concerned about this matter, because these are very rare accidents and they occurred in very weak patients suffering from a very serious disease," he stressed.

He added, "We are now asking doctors to continue vaccination, but with additional evaluation of patients whose basic conditions may be exacerbated by this. This evaluation includes discussing the risks and benefits of vaccination with the patient and their families to determine whether vaccination is the best course or not."

The final word

Corona vaccines are in line with medical safety and security recommendations. As all treatments, every case must be evaluated before vaccination is given, including allergy or any chronic diseases. Elderly people are a priority for vaccination because they are more affected by Covid-19 and more likely to die from Corona, and they must be vaccinated for Corona according to the medical instructions in their countries. This also applies to all other groups.
