Magdeburg (dpa / sa) - Despite the recent school closings in the extended corona lockdown, there should be half-yearly reports for all students in Saxony-Anhalt.

Education Minister Marco Tullner (CDU) told the German Press Agency on Wednesday that those who have face-to-face lessons will receive their certificate on February 5.

If you need your copy promptly, you can pick it up, everyone else will get it when they return to school for class.

For primary school students who are asked which secondary school they should go to, teachers are asked to discuss career recommendations with their parents by phone or video conference.

According to Tullner, there was the consideration of doing without half-yearly reports this year because of the corona situation.

After indications that they would be needed to apply for apprenticeships, among other things, it was decided to keep it for all age groups.

According to the minister, teachers should evaluate all subjects in which sufficient grades have been awarded.

Where there are still gaps, performance can also be graded in distance learning.

It is also possible not to evaluate subjects with a reference to the corona situation due to a lack of grades.

The school principals had been informed accordingly in a letter.

In Saxony-Anhalt, schools have been practicing distance learning since mid-December.

After the three-week winter vacation, there are classroom lessons only for the final years until mid-February, all other classes should study from home with assignments.
