Berlin (dpa) - Professional footballer Florian Huebner from Bundesliga club 1. FC Union Berlin apparently did not suffer any serious injury in training on Monday.

As the "kicker" reported on Wednesday a few hours before the game at RB Leipzig, the 29-year-old should only be a major bruise.

According to information from the specialist magazine, initially a foot fracture was feared.

Whether Hübner is in the squad in Leipzig is open.

Defender Hübner had, according to coach Urs Fischer, "injured in a violent duel" on Monday morning.

He was then taken to Berlin Charité for an examination.

The "iron" have not yet communicated a diagnosis.

At the weekend, racism allegations about Hübner and a violent argument with Nadiem Amiri from Bayer Leverkusen caused a stir.

The situation will have consequences before the sports court of the German Football Association (DFB).

The DFB control committee has already announced that it will investigate the allegations.
