Thomas Strandell is a bus driver at Länstrafiken Kronoberg, he says that only a quarter of the passengers who travel with him wear mouth guards.

He thinks it is because it is expensive with mouth guards and difficult to get hold of.

- I think it would have been good if the bus companies themselves could distribute mouth guards on the buses, he says.

"Protect yourself and others"

Queen Oparah is waiting for the bus and is ready with her mouth guard in her hands when we meet her at the travel center in Växjö.

- You should think about protecting yourself and others on the bus.

If it is recommended that you use it, you should do so.

Länstrafiken in Kronoberg does not make its own measurements of how many people follow the recommendations to wear mouth guards during rush hour.

But their appreciation is that it is far from everyone.

Politician's call: "Take your responsibility"

- I would like to urge those who travel by public transport to think about what responsibility they have as travelers to use mouth guards, says Carina Bengtsson (C) who is chairman of the traffic committee to SVT.
