The French handball players suffered to beat Algeria 29 to 26 Wednesday in their first match of the main round of the World-2021 and remain unbeaten in four games played since the start of the tournament in Egypt.

Still tied with the Algerians a few minutes from time, Michaël Guigou's teammates are at the top of their group and have moved closer to the quarter-finals.

They will face Iceland on Friday (6:00 p.m.).
