China News Service, January 20. According to foreign media reports, the Egyptian government said on the 20th that it has agreed to resume the suspension of diplomatic relations with Qatar for more than three years.

  On January 12, Egypt officially opened its airspace to Qatar's civil aviation flights, marking the end of Egypt's more than three-year flight ban against Qatar.

  In June 2017, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates announced that Qatar had "supported terrorism" and "undermined regional security" and announced the severance of diplomatic relations with them and imposed sanctions and blockades.

  On January 5, 2021, the 41st Gulf Arab States Cooperation Council Summit was held in Oulah, a city in western Saudi Arabia. The leaders of the meeting signed the Eula Declaration, marking the resumption of comprehensive diplomacy in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE and Qatar relationship.
