Leipzig (AP) - Game operations in the Saxon soccer leagues will continue to be suspended until February 28.

The decision was made by the Presidium of the Saxon Football Association (SFV).

“This means that the window to end the 2020/2021 season in full is shrinking.

That is why the SFV continues to pursue the goal of playing a simple round and evaluating it in terms of sport with masters, promoters and relegators, ”said an association statement on Wednesday.

Game operations in Saxony have been suspended because of the corona pandemic since November 2, 2020. Due to the long break, the SFV game committee is aiming to give the clubs a four-week training period before the relay leaders start competitive games again.

The decisive factor, however, is the point at which training in amateur football is permitted by politics.
