Presseck (dpa / lby) - After a house fire in Presseck, Upper Franconia (Kulmbach district), rescue workers found the 73-year-old resident dead.
They rushed to the very smoky single-family house in the Wartenfels district on Wednesday afternoon.
The emergency doctor could only determine the death of the man, as the police announced.
The fire fighters were able to extinguish the flames on the upper floor of the house quickly.
According to initial estimates, there was property damage of around 20,000 euros.
Kripo officers began investigating the initially unclear cause of the fire.
