Erfurt (dpa / th) - The CDU parliamentary group wants to conclude a “corona pact” with the red-red-green minority coalition for the coming months up to an early state election.

The parliamentary group leader Mario Voigt announced before new negotiations between the four parliamentary groups on Wednesday after the special session of the state parliament in Erfurt.

The Left, SPD, Greens and CDU want to conclude a transitional agreement so that the state parliament remains capable of making decisions until it is prematurely dissolved.

Red-Red-Green are four votes short of their own majority.

The "Corona Pact" should, among other things, bring about a change in the vaccination strategy towards larger vaccination centers, said Voigt. Thuringia also urgently needs progress in digital teaching in schools. Other topics of an agreement are the budget for 2022 and a reform of local finances. The state parliament is to be re-elected on September 26th - the day of the federal election.
