C. VILLEMAIN / 20 MINUTES

The facts date back to December 23.

A court clerk, working in Vaulx-en-Velin, was assaulted on leaving her job by two individuals who managed to tear her bag from her and knock her to the ground.

After a month of investigation, the Sûreté du Rhône arrested the two suspects, who are to be tried this Wednesday in immediate appearance.

During their investigations, the investigators discovered that the victim's bank card had been used in a business in Vaulx-en-Velin “very close to the theft”.

The use of the store's CCTV cameras made it possible to identify the two suspects, aged 18 and 24 and already known to the police.

The first admitted the facts and indicated the place where he had tried to burn the personal effects of the victim.

Traces of the objects, partially charred, were also found at the location indicated, specifies the Lyon police.

The second person arrested admitted to having used the bank card but investigators could not prove that he was present on the day of the attack.
