Some 5,800 migrants are stranded in north-western Bosnia, near the border with Croatia.

They live in extremely difficult conditions after the fire in the Lipa camp, denounce MEPs.

Blame it on the Bosnian authorities and Europe according to Sophie In't Veld, Dutch parliamentarian from the Renew group:

Hell is called Lipa.

A few weeks ago a 3-year-old girl was found in the mud, bleeding, because she was raped.

Illegal refoulements cannot be tolerated any longer.

Because people have indeed been turned back to Bosnia from Croatia.

 "

The European left is calling for an overhaul of EU migration policy.

Many mocked the pitiful Donald Trump who had the crazy idea of building

a wall on the Mexican border.

Yet it is the same policy that our leaders are pursuing here in Europe: 1000 km of walls, barbed wire, fences, surveillance cameras, police forces and Frontex patrols, from Croatia to Greece, from Lampedusa in Ceuta, from Hungary to Calais.

1000 km of shame, let's stop this headlong rush, ”protested Damien Carême, a French ecologist MEP.

And MEPs recall that 20,000 people have died since 2014 while attempting to cross the Mediterranean.
