On the evening of January 11, the National Health Commission learned that an explosion occurred in the Hushan Gold Mine of Wucailong Company, Qixia City, Yantai City, Shandong Province, causing 22 people to be trapped underground.

The National Health Commission attaches great importance to it. On January 12th, two national-level medical experts were dispatched from Shandong Provincial Hospital to the local area to guide emergency medical rescue preparations.

According to local needs, at noon on January 19, the responsible comrades of the Health Emergency Office of the National Health Commission led 5 national experts to the local area to strengthen the rescue force.

The national expert group is composed of 5 experts from Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Beijing Chaoyang Hospital, Beijing Anding Hospital in critical care medicine, nutrition, neurosurgery, occupational disease and poisoning medicine, and psychological intervention.

  After the accident, the local health department immediately launched a health emergency response and organized on-site rescue and preparations for the transfer of the wounded.

Relevant responsible comrades of the Shandong Provincial Health Commission led a provincial medical expert group and quickly arrived at the scene to coordinate and guide the treatment of the wounded.
