He said that the Slovak cabinet has extended the ban on leaving home for residents to February 7.
All citizens between the ages of 15 and 65 need to carry with them proof that they have tested negative for the new coronavirus before going out.
"Not only people who go to work have to do this, but people who walk in the park also do this," he said.
On the other hand, Matovic believes that the latest data show that 85% of the country’s newly discovered new coronavirus cases are infected with the "mutated new coronavirus found in the UK", which is more aggressive than the usual virus.
According to reports, starting on October 1, 2020, Slovakia has entered a state of emergency and public life has been restricted.
From December 26, the country started the vaccination program.
As of the 17th, nearly 60,000 people have been vaccinated.
