When Helena Löfgren traveled the world in the 90's, she met a group of people who pretended to be students.

It turned out that they were in fact not students at all, but members of the Moon Movement;

a sect whose leader, Sun Myung Moon, claimed to be the Messiah.

Helena Löfgren was quickly drawn into the sect, and was expected to work seven days a week for the leader.

- I was there for two years until my family then kidnapped me - or as I understand it relieved me.

Some who have recently been compared to a sect are part of outgoing President Donald Trump's most stubborn supporters.

Despite the fact that there is no evidence for it, many of them still claim that the election is "stolen".

Helena Löfgren currently works as a psychotherapist with a special focus on sects and she says she sees certain similarities.

- The unwavering loyalty and that critical thinking is dangerous.

That's what closes this bubble.

Tuesday's season premiere of the Foreign Office addresses the outgoing Donald Trump's role as a martyr in the eyes of supporters.
