An annual report documented 1,200 violations of the right of Palestinian digital content on social networks, implemented by the administration of those networks, at a time when Israeli content is ignored.

The Sada Social Youth Center said that among the violations were the closure and deletion of accounts and pages, and the ban on publication.

The report also mentioned the violations: banning live broadcasts, removing content, restricting access and follow-up, restricting publishing, and blocking numbers across social networking sites and applications.

The Sada Social Center is a Palestinian youth initiative that deals with the administrations of social networking sites, in an attempt to do justice to Palestinian content, and documents violations of this content.

The report says that 2020 was one of the most difficult stages for Palestinian content, in terms of the offensive policies launched by the administrations of social media platforms, and in terms of the new standards set by major platforms, such as Facebook and Twitter, related to anti-Semitism and combating terrorism.

According to an opinion poll, the results of which were published by the center in the annual report, 61% of the respondents reported that their accounts were deleted by the administrations of social media, while 53.1% reported that they were threatened, without mentioning its source.

During 2019, the Youth Initiative documented about 950 violations of the rights of Palestinian users and digital content on social media platforms.

According to the Center’s follow-up, digital companies, specifically Facebook, with all their platforms, do not deal with Israeli content the same way they deal with Palestinian content.

The Center recorded a number of racist Israeli expressions that incite violence, and sometimes overt killing of Palestinians without dealing with them.

And in 2018, the Israeli Ministry of Justice announced that Facebook's administration responded in 2017 to approximately 85% of Israel's requests to remove, ban, and submit data on Palestinian content on the communication site.
