Biden's spokesman Jen Psaki announced this on her Twitter.

“The pandemic is getting worse and more infectious variants (of the virus) are popping up around the world.

Now is not the time to lift restrictions on international travel, ”wrote Psaki.

She noted that the Democratic administration does not intend to lift restrictions on January 26.

“On the contrary, we plan to tighten public health measures on international travel to reduce the spread of COVID-19,” Psaki wrote.

Previously, the current President of the United States, Donald Trump, signed an executive order, which from January 26, canceled the restrictions imposed in connection with the coronavirus pandemic on entry to the United States from the Schengen countries, the UK, Ireland and Brazil.

At the same time, all passengers arriving in the country will have to submit a coronavirus test.
