Frankfurt / Main (dpa / lhe) - In the process of a suspected dealer who raced at a police officer in his car, the Frankfurt Regional Court is expected to announce the verdict today (10.30 a.m.).

The defendant wanted to evade a police control in Wiesbaden in November 2019 and therefore drove into a patrol car that the officer had been standing next to (Ref .: 6330 Js 209543/19).

The 45-year-old was originally charged with attempted murder.

However, since according to an expert opinion he could not see the police officer next to the vehicle, this allegation was later dropped by the public prosecutor's office.

The officer was able to save himself by jumping to the side, the car was extremely damaged.

The prosecution has requested that the man be sentenced to six years and two months in prison for dangerous bodily harm and five years and two months for drug trafficking for a co-defendant of the same age.
