The former Minister of Ecology, Nicolas Hulot, the former head of government Edouard Philippe and the current Minister of Culture, Roselyne Bachelot, are the three favorite political figures of the French, President Emmanuel Macron winning three points in this ranking released Tuesday by Ifop-Fiducial.

With 69% of favorable opinions, Mr. Hulot takes first place in this ranking to Mr. Philippe who gives up two points to 67%, underlines this "personalities dashboard" produced for Paris-Match and Sud Radio.

For her part, Ms. Bachelot remains on the third step of the podium, despite the loss of three points in one month to 62%, barely affected by the closure of cinemas, theaters and museums since early November to fight against the epidemic of coronavirus.

The Minister of Culture maintains a comfortable lead of ten points over her government colleague, the Minister of Finance Bruno Le Maire, who loses four points and ends up tied for 52% of opinions in favor of fourth place with the first left-wing woman in this ranking, the mayor of Lille (PS) Martine Aubry.

President Emmanuel Macron, who ranks just behind them at 49% (+3) seems to be benefiting from the deconfinement initiated in early December, despite the controversy over the slowness of the coronavirus vaccination campaign.

He is neck and neck with former President Nicolas Sarkozy who also wins three points to rise to 49%.

On the right, the other personalities all give way: the mayor of Troyes, François Baroin, loses two points to 46% of favorable opinions, the president of the Hauts-de-France region Xavier Bertrand, 5 points to 44% and the president of Ile-de-France Valérie Pécresse, 3 points to 42%.

Same tendency on the left in general: former Prime Minister Bernard Cazeneuve gives up one point to 48%, the mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo 2 to 46%.

But former president François Hollande gained 3 points to 42%.

On the majority side, Prime Minister Jean Castex remains stable at 45%, behind Foreign Minister Jean-Yves le Drian, who loses two points to 47%, and that of Health Olivier Véran, who gives up one point to 46%, while he is on the front line of the fight against the coronavirus.

This survey was carried out by telephone from January 13 to 14 among 1,005 French people representing the French population aged 18 and over.
