Kirchheim / Teck (dpa / lsw) - The Marburger Bund Baden-Württemberg Doctors' Union calls for stricter requirements for access to hospitals and vaccinations for local employees.

"The Ministry of Social Affairs announced last week that due to the shortage of the vaccine, vaccination of the medical staff in the clinics was not possible for the time being, but could only be carried out in the vaccination centers," reported the 1st state chairman Frank Reuther on Tuesday.

“With all our understanding, we are wondering why it is possible to vaccinate in clinics in other federal states, such as North Rhine-Westphalia, and why this does not work in Baden-Württemberg, especially when it comes to the vaccination rate in Baden-Württemberg is still at the bottom. "

In some municipalities, the medical staff had to make appointments via the general hotline, the state chief explained.

That sometimes takes a long time.

Elsewhere, the clinics made central appointments with the vaccination centers for their employees.

“It cannot be that there is no uniform procedure for vaccinating medical personnel in the country.

This mess is not acceptable. "

The medical staff must be vaccinated quickly and easily in the clinics, demanded the regional association based in Kirchheim unter Teck (Esslingen district).

Another problem is the country's relaxed corona regulation, according to which a negative corona test no longer necessarily has to be presented to enter a clinic.

"It cannot be that we are discussing the general tightening of the corona measures and loosening them at the clinics at the same time," criticized the 2nd state chairman Sylvia Ottmüller.

Many risk groups such as cancer patients stayed in clinics in particular.

These would have to be protected.

"We call on the state to take readjustment here immediately and put the original regulation back into force."
