Bamberg (dpa / lsw) - Suspected drug dealers from Baden-Württemberg are said to have sold more than 51 kilos of marijuana on the Internet.
Charges have now been brought against two men and a woman, as the Central Cybercrime Bavaria announced on Tuesday in Bamberg.
They face up to 15 years in prison.
The defendants live in the Zollernalb district and in the Alb-Danube district.
The investigators tracked down the suspects in the darknet - an area of the Internet in which users can move almost anonymously.
They are said to have operated drug trafficking on three platforms under the name “Lena's health food store”.
There “buyers from all over Germany and neighboring countries could order cannabis products, which were then sent to them by post,” the investigators said.
Between September 2017 and March 2020, the defendants are said to have sent 8,723 drug packages - mostly via a mailbox in Neu-Ulm.
The investigators assume that they earned more than 740,000 euros with the shop.

The two men, aged 32 and 42, have been in custody since the end of July.
In the meantime, the investigators also have the 34-year-old wife of one of the suspects in their sights, who is said to have mainly brought drug packages to the post office.
The trio is accused of acting like a gang with narcotics.
The trial is supposed to take place before the Memmingen district court.
