From Monday to Friday in Media Culture, Eva Roque gives you her TV tips for the evening.

This Tuesday, she offers us two documentaries with treason as a common theme.

"The high school students, the traitor and the Nazis" on France 2 at 11:30 pm and "Face au crime" can be seen on Nat Geo at 9:00 pm.

What are the programs to see and what theme brings them together?

Treachery.

Betraying others or betraying one's convictions, a subject declined through two documentaries.

The first is a docu-fiction titled "High School Students, the Traitor and the Nazis".

The true story of a hundred high school students who decided to join the resistance.

Young people from the Corps Franc Liberté group, perfectly aware of the danger that awaits them, as this boy wrote to his parents.

In June 1944, a few hours after the landing and the same day as the Oradour sur Glane massacre, while they were hiding in a house in Sologne, the Nazis and the Gestapo landed.

The young people are separated into small groups.

In the heart of a forest, high school students are shot.

One of them, Lucien, comes out miraculously.

41 young people died, some were deported.

All were betrayed by a comrade, André Parent, to whom the Germans had promised a little money.

An exceptional documentary by David André who through this story also talks about the issues of adolescence with accuracy, poetry, and emotion.

Another documentary on National Geographic, entitled "Face au crime".

A series of investigations, the first of which evokes the trafficking of tigers in the United States and in Asia.

Maybe you've seen this mind-boggling documentary series on Netflix, Tiger King.

It was about Joe Exotic, a collector of wild animals, who has been sleeping in prison for some time, accused of having ordered the murder of a woman, an animal rights activist.

Journalist Marina Van Zeller demonstrates the extent of this traffic in wild animals.

Baby tigers are cute, but as soon as they grow up what do we do with them?

The animals end up in filthy zoos, sometimes killed for trading in products like this tiger bone wine!

A shame.

The journalist joins Joe Exotic in prison.

She tells him about her investigation.

Awareness late certainly, but better late than never.
