Munich (dpa / lby) - Every third Bavarian company with home office-compatible workplaces has not yet used this option.

That is the result of a current representative survey by the Association of the Bavarian Economy (vbw), which was published on Monday in Munich.

Managing Director Bertram Brossardt called on companies to make more use of the home office.

A statutory provision is unnecessary, tax incentives are better.

A third of the companies stated that they did not have a home office-compatible workplace - most of them in trade, retail and hospitality.

Two thirds of companies can relocate at least some of their work to the home office.

In these companies, 29 percent of employees are at least partially in the home office, as the survey showed.

These employees work on average 57 percent of their working hours at home, the rest in the company or on the move.

Overall, almost 40 percent of all workplaces in the companies surveyed are generally suitable for home offices.

5701 companies with 1.34 million employees took part in the vbw survey from January 12th to 15th.
