“It was announced to the representative of the Dutch embassy that the Russian side, guided by the principle of reciprocity, has decided to expel from the Russian Federation two diplomatic employees of the Dutch embassy in Moscow.
They will have to leave the territory of the Russian Federation within two weeks, ”the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
In December 2020, it was reported that the Russian embassy had received a note from the Dutch Foreign Ministry declaring two Russian diplomats persona non grata in the country.
The Russian Foreign Ministry called this decision an unfriendly and provocative step.
