On Sunday alone, no less than 87 long-distance skating trips were made under the auspices of Skridskonätets / Friluftfrämjandet on Roxen, Boren, Hjälmaren and Galten, Blacken (inner parts of Lake Mälaren).
A total of almost 500 skiers participated from clubs in Linköping, Norrköping, Nyköping, Örebro, Eskilstuna, Västerås and Stockholm.
We do not know how many others in private were happy on the ice.
On Sunday, 31 trips went to Roxen and Boren in Östergötland, which attracted 160 people from Linköping's and Norrköping's skating clubs, respectively.
