Strausberg (dpa / bb) - A man missing in Strausberg (Märkisch-Oderland) has been found dead.
The police announced on Monday.
The 81-year-old left on Thursday to visit relatives in Petershagen near Berlin, but did not arrive there.
The police searched for the pensioner with dogs and a helicopter.
On Friday evening, emergency services found a lifeless man between Eggersdorf and the Tasdorfer Kreisel and identified him as the one wanted.
An emergency doctor could only determine his death.
The criminal police determined the cause of death.
