The fruit and vegetable kiosk in Meudon (Hauts-de-Seine) -

JCDecaux

From newspapers to salads, there is only one step.

In order to facilitate the distribution of fresh produce in short circuits and to support French farmers, JCDecaux transformed a press kiosk in Meudon (Hauts-de-Seine), which had been closed for years, into a fruit and vegetable distributor.

And this, in partnership with the young company, La Clayette.

Put into service this Saturday and equipped with connected refrigerated lockers, this kiosk will allow the inhabitants of Meudon to stock up, without prior orders, with products from short circuits at any time of the day.

"To be able to consume quality products"

Inside the kiosk, the 76 connected lockers offer a wide choice of products: seasonal fruits and vegetables, fresh eggs, organic apple juice, aperitif baskets, with a daily supply.

In the lockers, the products are placed on reusable wooden shelves, and consumers are invited to use their tote.

Open seven days a week, the kiosk is equipped with a contactless payment terminal

“Our installation in Meudon gives a smile to the inhabitants who rejoice at the idea of being able to consume quality products, in a short circuit and all very easily.

We are delighted to be able to experiment with the La Clayette solution in this kiosk, street furniture that is totally part of the daily life of citizens and ideally located, ”says Nicolas Drique, founder of La Clayette and the originator of the project.

And to specify: "Our primary objective is to facilitate responsible consumption and to offer outlets to our partner producers, a bet which is close to our heart".
