Rostock (dpa / mv) - 155 new corona infections were registered in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania on Monday.

That was 31 reported new infections more than a week ago, as can be seen from the status report of the State Office for Health and Social Affairs (Lagus) in Rostock.

The number of corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days fell slightly to 118.7.

Two other people died with or from the virus.

This increased the total number of deaths related to Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic to 310.

The total number of proven corona infections since March rose to 16,900 nationwide. 12,948 are now considered to have recovered.

The district of Vorpommern-Greifswald has the highest incidence of infection with 199.9 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in seven days.

At over 100, this value is also in the Mecklenburg Lake District (187.5), Ludwigslust-Parchim (160.5) and in the city of Schwerin (115).

Only the Hanseatic city of Rostock had fewer than 50 infected people per 100,000 inhabitants with 45.4.

The number of corona patients treated in clinics was given on Monday as 350 (plus 18 on the previous day), the number of corona patients in intensive care units fell by one to 87 over the same period.
