U.S. President Trump, who is being tried for defaming a woman victim of sexual assault, insisted on'president immunity' even in the second trial.

According to Bloomberg News, President Trump insisted on the application of the West Fall Act in a federal appeals court trial in Manhattan, New York City, stating that federal government officials cannot be subject to personal lawsuits for actions taken in the course of conducting their official duties.

The court of first instance decided that Trump's remarks of defamation of victims of rape were not subject to Westfall law.

President Trump was suspicious of conspiracy with the Democratic Party in 2019, refuting that famous columnist Jean Carroll had been raped by Trump in a department store changing room 29 years ago.

If Trump accepts Trump's claim of immunity in the appeal, the defamation defendant will be replaced with the US federal government, not Trump individual, and the government will be dismissed immediately because the government cannot be subject to defamation lawsuits.
