The British government has announced that this year's G7 Summit will be held in June in Cornwall, southwestern England, in a face-to-face manner.

The United Kingdom, which chairs the G7 Summit, announced on the 16th that it will hold the summit from June 11th to 13th in Carvis Bay, Cornwall, southwestern England.

The leaders will face each other directly to discuss common issues such as measures against the new coronavirus and climate change.

Last year, the United States was the presidency, but due to the spread of the new coronavirus, it will not be held face-to-face, and it will be the first time in about two years if it is held in the conventional format.

President-elect Joe Biden of the United States will participate in this summit for the first time, and Australia, India, and South Korea have been invited to strengthen cooperation between democratic nations through the summit.

Prime Minister Johnson said that the international community needs to be united in a spirit of tolerance in order to rebuild a society that has been severely affected by the spread of the new coronavirus. I expect the G7 to create an open and prosperous world, "he emphasized.
