The Ministry of Health defines 6 conditions and requirements for pre-marital vaccination

The Ministry of Health and Community Protection has set 6 conditions and requirements for premarital vaccination, with the aim of preventing communicable diseases and ensuring their health and safety. The vaccination includes "hepatotoxic vaccination and rubella vaccination."

The ministry explained that the six conditions and requirements are “to provide vaccination for women who do not have immunity against rubella, and if one of the parties has hepatitis B disease and the other party is not immunized, he is advised to take the hepatitis B vaccination, as it is necessary. The customer must be (18) years old.

And she continued, "Vaccination is available for both sexes of all nationalities who meet the conditions for getting the vaccine. The vaccine is not given in the event of an allergy to one of the components of the vaccine when a previous dose is given, and the vaccine is not given to patients with moderate to severe health at the time of vaccination."

The service provided by the Ministry through the Primary Health Care Department, affiliated to the health centers and clinics sector, enables those who are about to get married to obtain pre-marital vaccinations to prevent communicable diseases and ensure their health and safety, and this includes hepatitis vaccination and rubella vaccination.

According to the ministry, the fees for the triple measles vaccination are 50 dirhams, while the fees for hepatitis "three doses" are also 50 dirhams.

The Ministry pointed out that after the result of the prenuptial counseling service is issued, the customer visits the center to obtain (the medical report), and based on the examination result, the doctor gives advice and instructions and answers all inquiries about the case and recommends taking the necessary vaccination, as well.

The required vaccination is given as per the doctor’s recommendation.
