Hero of the Soviet Union Colonel-General Nikolai Antoshkin dies at 79
At the 79th year of his life, Hero of the Soviet Union, State Duma Deputy Colonel-General Nikolai Antoshkin died. According to preliminary information, he was in the hospital and suffered from coronavirus. Antoshkin's military career began in 1965. During the years of service, he commanded units in various military districts. In 1986, Antoshkin led the aviation group during the liquidation of the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
