Fürth (dpa / lby) - In Middle Franconia, the attempt to register meetings of opponents of the Corona measures in various cities has failed again.

After Nuremberg and Stein (Fürth district), Fürth now also bans the meetings, as a message from the city shows on Sunday.

In the night from Saturday to Sunday, almost 30 events were registered at various locations in Fürth.

Since these “obviously” could be seen as substitute events for the previously forbidden gatherings in Nuremberg and Stein, the city is assuming a planned action.

The registered events had in some cases different topics and organizers, but there were numerous similarities in layout and choice of words, according to the city of Fürth.

Most of the planned organizers do not come from Middle Franconia and are partly known to the police as corona deniers.

All registrations were therefore received after the decision of the Bavarian Administrative Court (BayVGH), which had confirmed the ban on a meeting planned for Sunday against the corona restrictions in Stein (Fürth district).

Based on experiences with comparable meetings of the “lateral thinking” scene, the assembly authority rightly assumed that “conditions that are unacceptable under infection protection law” would arise, according to the judges.

In addition, the organizer had not submitted a hygiene concept.
