Hamburg (dpa / lno) - Apparently for no reason, a drunk kicked a 68-year-old man at Hamburg Central Station and injured him in the process.

According to the federal police, the 68-year-old was standing in front of a bookstore on Saturday night and looked in the shop window when the 22-year-old drunk harassed him.

He took the man's arm and talked to him.

When the latter wanted to leave, the 22-year-old kicked him in the legs, causing him to fall.

His knee was injured.

The drunk attacker then fled.

After evaluating the recordings of a surveillance camera, he was caught a little later in the course of a manhunt, as the federal police announced on Sunday.

He was taken to the federal police station, where he rioted and insulted the officers.

A breath alcohol test showed a value of 1.99 per mille, it said.

As it turned out later, the man had previously sprayed a station wall with graffiti.

Criminal charges were brought against him for assault and property damage, among other things.
